Hardware
For using the HotelTime System, no new hardware is needed. Access to the system is through an Internet browser. HotelTime invests in acquiring, maintaining and upgrading hardware. This solution, unlike competitive systems decreases the cost of the essential hardware investment of the accommodation facility and also decreases the costs of essential maintenance (admin).
The following configurations describe the hardware for system access (normally, for example, reception PC) and do not include a hotel server which is not needed for HotelTime.
Recommended configuration
- PC or Apple with min 2GHz and 1GB RAM processor
- Windows XP and higher or MacOS 10 and higher
- Internet Explorer 7.0 and higher or FireFox 2.0 and higher, standard security settings with cookies block and automatically open windows off
- Acrobat Reader 8.0 or higher
- Internet connection 2Mbit/s (except for mobile equipment), an ADSL connection is sufficient
In case the main connection fails we recommend having a backup connection of any speed, including a mobile one e.g. GPRS.
Minimum configuration
- PC or Apple with min. 1.6GHz and 512MB RAM processor
- Windows XP and higher or MacOS 10 and higher
- Internet Explorer 6.0 and higher or FireFox 2.0 and higher, standard security settings with cookies block and automatically open windows off
- Acrobat Reader 8.0 or higher
- Internet connection 512kbit/s
The minimum configuration can only be used for program control with the dedicated use of a computer.
Other possible devices
- mobile phones and PDA with Windows Mobile 6.0 system and higher
- iPhone, iPod Touch and other Apple appliance with Internet access and Safari Internet browser
Most of the system functionality is available with these devices but some characteristics may be limited or not available.
